Once the wood has been properly milled and edge-glued, the assembly process for the front and back of the instrument begins with our TRU Bracing System. We start by gluing CNC created hand split vertical grain Sitka spruce braces onto the interior of our front and back plates. Hand split Sitka spruce is preferred by all fine instrument builders due to its strength to weight ratio and its elasticity. These spruce braces give the instrument structure and strength along with allowing for proper vibration to achieve tonal brilliance.
