ALL ABOUT CHRISSY
Imagine if Jason Mraz, Colbie Callait, and Jack Johnson all played together for a musical evening…..
Australian ukulele player/singer/songwriter Chrissy (Chrissy Hogarth), serves up acoustic pop and some serious prowess on the four stringed instrument delivering songs about romanticism, moonlighting as a cat burglar, and the gypsy nature of life on the road.
Aside from her original tunes, Chrissy loves to take well known classics and give them new life – jazzy renditions of Madonna’s “Into the Groove” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” both pay homage to musical influences and challenge audiences with radical interpretations.
ALBUMS & MOVIE SCORES
After a successful grass roots 2018 USA tour, Chrissy returned to Australia to write the score to the coming of age feature film – Highest Point, pen new tracks for her debut solo acoustic album, and play to Aussie audiences.
In 2019, she began recording her first solo acoustic album entitled Conception to be released in three volumes over nine months. In the same year, she toured Australia and the USA and played at The Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival and The Melbourne Ukulele Festival.
In 2020, Chrissy will be writing the score for the feature documentary – With Flying Colors about Australia’s first female helicopter pilot, headlining the Melbourne International Ukulele Festival, and releasing the final installment of Conception.
