With a background deeply rooted in Polynesian culture, it is no surprise that Les Harris is one of the most accomplished `ukulele players to emerge on the local music scene. Growing up dancing hula at Paradise Cove gave Les Harris a background in performing and truly developed his drive for perfection. Known for his signature `ukulele riffs and soulful singing voice, Kanile`a ‘Ukulele is extremely honored that Les is part of our `ukulele Ohana.Currently Les Harris is using his talents to give Kalaeloa their signature sound, and instantly recognizable `ukulele licks. Since the debut CD release with Kalaeloa “Let the Good Times Roll” Les Harris has been able to spread the sound of Aloha and amaze audiences around the world with his natural and refined playing skills, and making their album one of the best selling albums in Hawaii. We feel very fortunate that Les calls Kanile`a ‘Ukulele his instrument of choice.

“It has been a pleasure working together with Joe and the crew at Kanilea Ukuleles. They have been paitient and more than willing to help create an Ukulele suitable for my recording and performing purposes. My “Kalaeloa” version Po’okela Ukulele is one of the most beautiful Ukuleles I have ever seen. The wood combinations of curly Koa, and spruce produce clean warm tones while an ebony keyboard with mother of pearl inlay makes this Ukulele fun and easy to play.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude enough to Joe and Kristen for their willingness to work with me on this project and begin our relationship that now extends beyond the “Fire House” and their workshop.”

Mahalo and God Bless!!!!!!!
