Built on the foundation of the K-1 model’s exquisite resonance, sustain and intonation, the K-3 makes a bold statement with features that “pop”. The wide Curly Maple wood rosette with Faux Tortoise trim draws the eye to the center of the instrument while the matching faux Tortoise front and back binding add that aesthetic appeal. The binding is also functional, confirming the seal of the sound board and the radius back to the sides of the body.

For 4-string concert, soprano or tenor instruments, please specify in checkout if you would like a Kanile`a Exclusive Phosphor Bronze low G installed
Each instrument we build, with the exception of an 8-string, may be equipped with a “G” fourth course (196Hz) fixed with a 0.029″ Phosphor Bronze wire-wrapped nylon-core string for no extra charge. The woven “low G-string” is tuned an octave lower, which gives a richer sound and opens a wider picking range.
